A group university project where we introduce the concept
of ‘play in the city’ through an intervention event.
We wanted to encourage city-dwellers to reach out and get to know each other, so we did this by organising a balloon launch from Arthur’s Seat, and asking members of the public to write a message of special significance onto a tag, and attached each tag to an individual balloon. We then launched three hundred balloons and messages with the
hope that the person who found a message would get back into contact with the sender.
